The Rodtech Click Starter Kit is designed to allow you to power sweep and traditionally chimney sweep lined and unlined flues with a range from 125mm (5 inches) up to 500mm (20 inches) and above. The flue whips will allow you to get all types of flues cleaner than you can by using a traditional chimney brush. This professional chimney sweep equipment is not designed for the amateur chimney sweeper. We have tried to describe the chimney sweeping equipment to the best of our ability and included as much application as is possible. We have found this kit to be very useful in the USA, Canada and Ireland particularly, where this will cover large percentage of all day to day work you will encounter.
There are chimney sweeping courses available from us, which can give more practical advice and hands-on experience on all of our professional chimney sweeping tools.

Each selection of rods covers 10 meters (32') allowing adequate height for most homes and includes the 12mm (just under 1/2") and 15mm (5/8") diameter rods. This will allow you to sweep from 125mm (5") and upwards with rod thickness to approximately 500mm (20"). These rods are able to be used for rotary sweeping as well as manual chimney sweeping. All of the Rodtech Click power sweeping brushes connect to all of the Rodtech Click rods (except the mini-Click) enabling maximum flexibility when choosing the correct chimney cleaning tools for the required application.
The slimmer 12mm rods are mainly used for lined flues associated with stove and insert cleaning, but they can equally be used in ductwork cleaning. When using this chimney sweeping equipment for chimney flue cleaning you will ideally use the 300mm power whip or the more aggressive 300mm Super Scrub chimney liner whip.
The thicker 15mm rods are primarily used for power sweeping flues 200mm and above. It would be considered normal to use the 600mm power sweeping whip or the more aggressive 600mm Super Scrub whip in this configuration. These rods and associated heads have been found to work brilliantly as part of air duct cleaning equipment.
You receive two 300 mm (12") whips to allow you to match the tool aggressiveness to the job at hand. The 300mm Super Scrub will enable you to sweep lined and unlined appliances from 125-200 mm (5-8"). It will also allow you to remove flaky tar deposits in Stainless Steel lined Flues, together with removing nesting debris in steel lined flues. This head will also allow you to clean tar from chimney cap spark screens.
The lighter weight 300mm Power Whip will enable you to sweep lined and unlined appliances from 125-200mm (5-8"). This head is very good as its design will allow you to sweep through narrow entrance gaps such as throat plates and baffles. It easily passes through openings less than 2". This head will also allow you to clean tar from Bird Guards. Both this and the 300mm Super Scrub will make a flue liner cleaner than traditional flue liner equipment used in hand sweeping.
The 600mm Power Whip will allow you to sweep from 200-500mm (8-20 inches). Its design enables you to get through some tight baffles and throat plates with ease. The ease in which this product can be used making sure the flue is rotary power swept is only made better by the way you can easily change the strands making sure your equipment stays in tip-top condition.
The Bird Nest Remover with stainless steel cable strands has two main uses; as a bird nest remover also as a creosote and tar remover on all flues other than steel lined.
The retrieving tool will allow you to hook chimney sweeping brushes and chimney sweeping rods left by amateurs as well as being able to dislodge nesting debris if required.
The power sweeping drill bits come with and without buttons dependent upon your method of sweeping. Bottom-up use the "no button" version. Top down use the button version.
This Starter kit will allow the professional to sweep most day-to-day encountered domestic flues, even where access is somewhat limited, it comes with 1 rod bag, 1 head cover, and spare strands for every head supplied. This kit can be expanded upon at any time to cover smaller and larger flues, but is a very good base. We do supply adaptors that will connect ButtonLok, Rovac and ProKlean products to our equipment.
We do offer professional chimney sweep training courses and it is important that you familiarise yourself with the products by reading the manual.

Our Rodtech Click products come with a 12-month replacement Warranty. The warranty covers all Non-wearable parts and joints on our Rodtech Click range. It does NOT cover misuse of equipment or when the equipment is used with the tile breakers. It does not cover parts that will wear with use, such as head inserts (Strands, Chain and Wire etc) You must read the manual for guidance. In the unlikely event you will ever need to use this warranty, you will be required to return the product to A.W. Perkins Co. or our Agent before a replacement part is supplied (subject to being used in accordance with our user manual).
The Rodtech Click range offers high-quality products designed for power sweeping, manual sweeping (hand sweeping), drain cleaning and duct cleaning via an adapter. Standard chimney cleaning brushes, drain cleaning ends and duct cleaning brushes can be fitted to the Click system meaning that there is no twisting the rods together and them getting locked which makes the sweeping process much quicker. The rods are solid and the ends are crimped to the rods making the best quality available.
