Description

Click Rotary Chimney Rod 18mm (3/4") x 1 meter (39") - Made in the USA!

Black is our standard color, white is an indicator rod so you know when a head is about to be with you.  If you get 6 rods, one will be white.  If you buy 10 or 12 we include two white.

These minimal flex and hard wearing solid section Co-Polymer Chimney rods are ideally suited for flues and ducting with a range of sizes 16" to upwards of 24" (600mm).  When confronted by a really large flue (600 mm/24 inches and above) you may wish to use this rod together with the Rodtech Click 18mm x 1000mm Aluminium Rod. When using this rod in conjunction with the aluminum rods, it is advisable to use a solid rod as a leader rod and intersperse the solid and aluminum rods so that the entire shaft of rods has a small amount of flexibility.  Our Mega size 36" (900mm) SuperScrub is often the head of choice with these rods.

**IF TILE BREAKING** 18 mm rods with Steel Rod Ends are available for those wishing to use these rods for tile breakout by the use of the Tile Breaker attachments. Link to that product is rodtechusa.com/ When breaking with a drill these rods are best used with a minimum 24v (ideally 36v) Cordless power drill or a Milwaukee Whole Hog. There is no warrantee cover on any product used for clay liner removal.

The rods are designed to be used with a cordless drill and purpose built drill driver, this rotates the rod and selected head using Centrifugal force. Simply fit the head to the leader rod and use the drill to drive it into the flue, add another rod and repeat until at the top. Once there reverse the rotation on the drill and go back down rod by rod. The co-polymer strands remove the deposits as the user controls the speed and direction with the drill. For ease of use we provide two colours of rod currently black and white this allows you to have a leader or marker rod, this way you don’t have to worry about keeping count when sweeping. Due to the click lock system you may rotate our rods clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on your preference, this is something you cannot do with a traditional chimney rod as it would unscrew within the flue. The head is designed to fit centrally inside the flue/liner comfortably gliding around bends, allowing the co-polymer strands to do the work and remove the deposits with ease, this avoids any unwanted surface tension that could cause unseen damage to the flue. Our power rotary heads can also clean a spark screen while sweeping from the bottom so you no longer have to climb on the roof when cleaning is required.

All of our Rodtech parts have been checked prior to manufacture and have been comprehensively tested during the quality control stage, upon passing every item is signed off before being packed ready for dispatch ensuring the customer receives the highest quality available.

The Rodtech Click rotary power sweeping range was developed by experienced chimney sweeps in the UK and offers unparalleled products designed for rotary sweeping, manual sweeping (hand sweeping) and duct cleaning via an adapter.  Standard chimney cleaning brushes and duct cleaning brushes can be fitted to the click system meaning that there is no twisting the rods together and them getting locked which makes the sweeping process much quicker. The rods are solid and the ends are crimped to the rods combined with the click (push fit) system making it the best quality available.
